Once we have received payment, we will send you a unique link to complete activation. This link will direct you to the Showmax website where you will need to create an account. As soon as this is done, you can start streaming the day away!

What is Showmax?
Showmax is a streaming platform that gives you access to hundreds of TV series, movies and documentaries from renowned networks and studios such as HBO, Hulu, Paramount and many more. You can also view the latest Showmax Originals and local content that you might not find anywhere else.
Have kids? You’ll find a myriad of kids' shows and movies to keep the youngsters entertained. On Showmax Pro you will additionally be able to access live sports from SuperSport, music and news.
You can watch from anywhere in South Africa, at any time with no disruptive adverts. New content gets added on a regular basis so you will stay entertained all for one low monthly fee.
What is the difference between Showmax and Showmax Mobile?
On the Showmax Standard and Showmax Pro packages, you have the option to select the Mobile package.
The Showmax Standard Mobile and the Showmax Pro Mobile packages are ideal if you only want to watch via a smartphone or tablet. You will need to download the Showmax App to your mobile device to access the platform.
The normal Showmax Standard and Showmax Pro packages are perfect for you if you stream via different devices such as a Smart TV, laptop/computer, or for families or households who’d like to stream two shows concurrently.
On the Mobile packages, you are limited to one registered device and one stream at a time.
On the normal packages (all devices), you can register up to five devices and stream on two devices at a time.
What is Showmax Pro?
If you’d like to get the most out of what Showmax has to offer, this package is definitely for you! Subscribers on this package will not only get a variety of series, movies and documentaries but also music streaming, news and live sports.
There are a variety of live sports offered. You can expect soccer matches from the Premier League, UEFA Euro, Serie A, La Liga, Africa Cup of Nations, DStv Premiership Games PLUS the 2022 FIFA World Cup. You can also watch a range of other sports such as professional boxing, athletics, and the world’s biggest marathons. Available sports differ between countries and usage rights as at time of the event. Between your favourite sporting events, you can also enjoy sports documentaries, magazine specials and sports highlights.
With Showmax Pro you can stay up to date with the latest news with live news channels, eg. SABC News, Newzroom Afrika, Euronews and Africanews.

What line speed connection do I need?
We recommend an internet connection of at least 10Mbps.

Which devices can I watch on?
It depends on your Showmax plan (the normal plan allowing all devices or the mobile-only plan).
If you choose the Showmax Standard or the Showmax Pro plan (non-mobile), you will be able to watch on various types of devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, Smart TVs, gaming consoles and media boxes.
If you choose the Showmax Mobile plan (on either Showmax Standard or Showmax Pro), you can watch on either your smartphone or tablet.
Should you want to spread your wings and branch out to other devices, you are welcome to upgrade at any time.
Can I watch Showmax offline?
Yebo yes! You will be able to download up to 25 episodes of your favourite series on Showmax and watch on your device offline.
NB: Please take note that this is affected by the storage space on your device.
How many devices can I stream on the various packages?
On the Showmax Standard and Showmax Pro packages (if you select non-mobile plans) you will be able to stream on two devices at the same time.
On the Showmax Standard Mobile and Showmax Pro Mobile plans, you will only be allowed to stream from one device at a time.
Does Showmax have an app for my smart tv, media box, and device?
It sure does! The user-friendly Showmax app is downloadable from the Apple iStore and Google Play. Many Smart TVs and media boxes in South Africa come pre-loaded with Showmax but if not, you can easily download it from the app store.
All you need to do is go to your preferred app store, search for “Showmax”, ensure you select the app with the Showmax logo (as portrayed on this site) and click install.
On the app, you can download your favourite shows and movies for offline viewing or stream directly. It is compatible with a variety of devices such as Android/Apple mobile phones, tablets, Smart TVs, media boxes, Xbox One, and the PlayStation 4.
What happens if I already have a Showmax account?
If you have signed up directly via Showmax and your account is still active, all you need to do is follow the unique link we will send you after your order and sign in with your existing details. Your account will then automatically be linked to Webafrica. Once your current billing cycle (directly with Showmax) ends, your next 30-day billing cycle will start and be billed by us.
Should you have an existing inactive account, you can just follow the unique link we will send you and sign in with your existing login details. Your account will be linked to Webafrica and your first payment will be billed by us.
NB: Remember you MUST use your UNIQUE LINK that we send after your order. Otherwise, your account will not be linked.
What payment methods do you offer?
Currently, we only offer Showmax on debit order plans.
How does billing work?
Once your first payment has been made and you activate your Showmax account (via the unique link we will send you), your 30 days of access will kick in. You will be billed in 30-day cycles (so your payment will cover you for 30 days of service).
Seven days before your 30 days are up, you will be invoiced and billed for your next 30-day access period.
The Ugly Bits
What No Other ISP will Tell You
We rely on the infrastructure providers to install your line. This can take anywhere between two and eight weeks, depending on the provider.
Sometimes physical obstructions such as thick walls, the size of your home, mirrors and even your neighbours’ multiple WiFi signals can become a limiting factor to your WiFi speeds. While your router is still receiving stupendous internet speeds, you might need to invest in hardware which will extend your WiFi coverage area and distribute fast internet throughout the premises.
You require Fibre to be installed on your street, and a fibre box (CPE device) to be installed in your home. The installation process involves bringing the fibre line from the street into your house. You will then plug a Fibre router into your CPE device, from where your internet can be accessed.
We are able to troubleshoot many of your issues, but we rely on the infrastructure providers to fix technical issues on your line. We are happy to deal with them on your behalf, but they remain our “man on the ground” for physical issues.
All of our data packages are month-to-month, so you need only give one calendar month’s notice should you wish to cancel.
If you do choose to cancel, or if your account falls into a suspended state for longer than 30 days, your free-to-use router will be billed to you, or you may choose to return it to us at your own expense. Please ensure that the LAN cable and anything else which came in the router box is returned or these items will be billed to your account.
Should you cancel your service within 12 month’s of activation (or fall into a suspended state for longer than 30 days) you will be liable for any installation and / or connection fees which Webafrica initially subsidised on your behalf. These will be clawed back on your account.
